Description

These creatures of decay are the clear result of Vaelorian experimentation and their never-ending pursuit of creating new forms of undead. Hollow Shamblers lack a head, leaving their neck a hollow void; instead they possess an enormous maw that gapes open in their chest cavity, a grotesque chasm lined with rows of jagged, razor-sharp teeth. Their body is a mass of tattered, rotting flesh, capable only of moving with an eerie and disjointed gait, their limbs contorting unnaturally, as if puppeteered by an unseen malevolence. The creatures' purpose is to consume the souls of the living, drawing them into their chest maw to join the restless spirits trapped within its tormented form.

The creature takes 2D6 Piercing damage immediately, and D6 Necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns while inside the shambler, until it escapes. A creature can escape by using its action to make a successful Athletics check or by inflicting a total of 3 damage to the Hollow Shambler's chest maw.
